Skill Focus Training Program
Three of five high school leavers cannot afford the tuition for college and may end up in low paying occupation. There are thousands of vacancies in cybersecurity and other IT and health care related job that do not require a college degree. High school leavers (graduates) can be prepared and quickly trained via certification route to qualify for such high paying jobs.
Communitywide Hope Provider Associates have impressive records of mentoring and guiding young ones to take up these careers over the past years and within a short period many of the program participants are already in high paying jobs.
Develop and administer special training methodology and curriculum to incorporate a hybrid training delivery opportunity utilizing online media, simulation and hands-on sessions to fast-track skill development programs for participants located in remote locations.
Communitywide Skill Focus Training Program includes the following:
- Source for development grants and aid to provide skill focused training program in Information Technology and Health Care fields.
- Collaborate with vocational training institutes in setting up skill development curriculum and programs for high school graduates, displaced workers, new immigrants and disadvantaged groups.
- Organize mentoring program for selected students on Communitywide skill development program to connect participants with professionals; to serve as mentors; provide guidance and support to program participants to enable follow through and higher success rate in training programs.
- Sponsor or administer skill development programs, (in collaboration with institutes and funding agencies, Not-for-profit organization, Corporations and other sources), support short courses (3 to 9 months courses) in Information Technology to quickly qualify selected participants in IT career that are in great demand (such as Cyber-Security, Cloud Computing, Data Management). The program will select participants from 12th grade; persons desiring to make a quick career change or transitioning between occupations; immigrants seeking a fast-track career path, etc. and guide through training and certification path, internship and job placement.
